Responsabilități

• Operate heavy-duty trucks to deliver freight over long distances
• Plan routes using GPS and maps to optimize delivery time and fuel efficiency
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
• Maintain accurate logbooks of driving hours, rest periods, and inspections
• Communicate regularly with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any delays
• Adhere to all traffic laws, federal and state regulations, and company policies
• Conduct minor truck maintenance (e.g., checking tire pressure, oil levels)
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary
• Manage documentation related to deliveries, fuel purchases, and tolls
